Brock Purdy Establishes a Personal Best with Five Touchdown Passes as San Francisco Dominate the Colts

In a primetime contest, quarterback Brock Purdy turned in a standout performance, throwing a personal-record five touchdown passes to propel his team to a commanding 48-27 triumph. The victorious effort was capped off by a key 74-yard pick-six for a score.

Scoring Display Lead the Way

Purdy was exceptionally efficient, completing 25 of his 34 attempts for 295 yards. His primary targets included standout running back Christian McCaffrey, who gained 117 yards on 21 carries and also hauled in six passes for 29 yards and two touchdowns. Receiver George Kittle also had a big night, making seven receptions for 115 yards and a score.

Postseason Picture Taking Shape

With this result, the winning side continued their winning streak to five straight games, strengthening their standing in the race for a high postseason berth. This victory also snapped a lengthy losing skid against this particular rival.

The visiting quarterback, in his second appearance after a five-year absence, put up a valiant fight, throwing for 277 yards and two touchdowns. However, a late turnover returned for a score ultimately decided the game.

Game Summary

  • First Quarter: The action began with a twenty-yard touchdown pass from the visiting quarterback. Purdy answered with a twenty-two-yard scoring strike to tie the game.
  • Second Frame: After a fumble on the kickoff, Purdy found McCaffrey for a two-yard touchdown. The other team tied it up before Purdy threw his third TD pass to regain the lead.
  • After Halftime: Purdy kept his hot streak, tossing another touchdown pass early in the second half. A fourth-quarter rushing touchdown by the other side temporarily closed the gap.
  • Closing Moments: The winning team sealed the victory with another Purdy-to-McCaffrey touchdown connection, followed minutes later by the game-clinching defensive score.

This loss marks the fifth straight loss for the defeated squad, hurting their postseason hopes as the regular season nears its end.
