The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Difference
As the two fighters met for the customary face-off, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually happening.
