"It's a little different but then, I enjoy running and just move inside - I'm not defending that much," he added.

"I warn my centre-back 'I'm not hanging back' and that I'm just going to continue running.

"The running is what I'm after. It's enjoyable."

In addition to Cisse's 6 scores on debut, Ireland has netted 8 in three games for the side, while George Boyd hit five on his first match and Lescott, a centre-half by trade, notched a triple in one game as a striker.

The team are top of the Top Division with three wins from three and a GD of plus nineteen.

One opponent, 38, who features on the wing for Collegiate OB, faced former Wigan defender Maynor Figueroa on the weekend - and had to explain his young boy who Emile Heskey was.
