Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 victories have been earned on hardcourt
A comeback Daniil Medvedev secured his first title for nearly 30 months with success over Corentin Moutet in the tournament final.
Medvedev, a ex- top-ranked player, has endured a challenging season, winning just one match at the big events and undergoing a setback at the US Open.
His unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his service game in especial - caused him falling of the world's top 10 and eventually parting ways with long-term mentor Cervara.
Currently collaborating with his coach and Goetzke, he has consistently advanced in the last few weeks - peaking in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over challenger Corentin Moutet.
It is the player's initial title since the Rome competition and initial on a hard court after March of 2023.
Victory also indicates he has secured 21 titles at 21 various events.
"For the first time I have attended a tournament with my children at once, so to win a title is especially meaningful," said tennis professional Medvedev.
"This victory is in honour of my child my daughter, because the maiden victory I won when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had lost his past six title deciders, comprising in that event earlier this year.
His defensive approach and regular outbursts on the playing surface had led observers to question if his skill to compete at the elite level was over.
Yet the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, making an effort to approach the net and play positively, backed up by an improved serve.
He recovered from a deficit in the initial set against the tricky Frenchman, securing 4 of the last five exchanges to take the lead.
The pair swapped service breaks in the following set before Moutet, striving for his maiden ATP Tour victory, gained dominance to force a final set.
Moutet defended 4 initial chances in a tight third set before Medvedev won the break to that score to serve for the match.
Fittingly, the winner earned victory with a rally at the front of the court, with the Frenchman unable to manage a volley after two hours and 38 minutes.
